How do you fit a bed, a wardrobe, shelves and as desk into a tiny 8m2 room? Combine them all into one! This project showcases how bespoke cabinetry can help you get the most out of your home. This captains bed was a fantastic way to make the most of a small space. Using an old bed mechanism, the design process was a challenge to make the system work in a confined space. Every millimetre was needed to allow the bed to fold down. Light coloured ash works wonderfully in the light airy space. The angled workspace gives a better view to the window. Hand shaped bespoke handles provide some character to the finished piece.
